Southwest Airlines Partnerpalooza

Jun 15 2009

I have noticed there are several “paloozas” out there. Of course, there is the one that kicked off the whole palooza mania- Lollapalooza. There’s also Polar Palooza, Reef-A-Palooza, even Hula-palooza.  While palooza is not defined in the dictionary, from what I can tell in my quest for a definition, palooza can be described as “fun” or a “giant party”. These happen to be two of our favorite things here at Southwest Airlines and were top of mind when we launched the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Partnerpalooza today!  Partnerpalooza is a promotion for Rapid Rewards Members, giving them the chance to win fabulous prizes by making purchases with our Rapid Rewards Preferred Partners from June 15, 2009 – September 15, 2009. Even applying and getting approved for the Rapid Rewards Credit Card by Chase or enrolling in Rapid Rewards Dining can earn you sweepstakes entries. A promotion with the word palooza in its name would have to offer some pretty fantastic prizes, and Partnerpalooza does just that!   One lucky grand prize winner will win 12 Rapid Rewards Award Tickets and a Rapid Rewards Companion Pass for one year!

One first prize winner will win six Rapid Rewards Award Tickets and a Rapid Rewards Companion Pass for one year!

One second prize winner will win two Rapid Rewards Award Tickets and A-List status for one year. (Who doesn’t love that coveted “A Boarding Pass”?) Additionally, Members can return to the promotion site daily to play the “Reward-O-Meter” Instant Win Game for a chance to win prizes provided by some of our Rapid Rewards Preferred Partners. Visit http://www.southwest.com/partnerpalooza?src=PREMNSAPPZA000000090615 to register for the promotion, learn more and for the complete rules. Once you’ve visited the site, I think you will agree with my likening of this promotion to the word palooza!

Seems like a scam to get other peoples email accounts to send ads at the end of the game. Kind of odd that the puck always lands in the two same spots. I have been playing for weeks now. Better odds in Vegas.

So I have been playing from the start of this promotion and I have yet to get the token to drop in the briefcase once. What are the odds? I had hope to get at least 1000 points. It would be nice to get some points sometimes.

Is there a list of people who have gotten the token in and what they won.

My experience too. I have played at least 25 times. I would be happy if I even won 50 miles once in awhile. Poor promotion, it creates bad feelings.

Southwest Rapid Rewards needs to get a gasoline partner...someone ubiquitous like Shell, BP, etc. where you rack up RR points when you charge gas to your RR Visa. Let's face it....somehow despite the myriad of differences in companies, employee benefits, investments, etc. "mystery of mysteries" it's the exact same price or within a penny at the level of the local stations. So, if one of the big oil boys really wants brand loyalty...they should be the ones asking Southwest to feel the "luv" for them to be able to become a Southwest Rapid Rewards Partner. Just a "nutty" thought. I hope it "takes off." :-)

why is the game so hard. I have played 10 times and not won once. It should occasionally give you something to make you come back. Kind of cheap.

Everytime I try to play this game, the game pieces don't show up and I click the icon that says if you can't see the game click here. It automatically tells me sorry and then I 've lost my chance to play.

For the past two days the "Partner/Palooza" game has not been displayed on either of my PC's. What's up with that?
