  Flashback Fridays--A Final Flight

Hey Brian, When you retire a plane, how much of it it stripped to be used as parts/spares on other aircraft. Seats, bins, galley, etc. Just curious. Love these Flashback Friday's.

Unlike the past few “Flashback Fridays” post, this one is a bit more current—like today or maybe next week.  However, it still has historical value.  Today we say goodbye to a trusted member of our fleet as N680AA heads off on its final flight.  The

  We’re going to Pasadena!

Would loved to have seen a DAL-HNL flight added for the Hawaii Bowl! ; ) Go Mustangs!

Hi again!

If you’ve read the blog lately, you might know me from my starring role in “The Battle of the Ashley’s,” so you know I’m a Longhorn fan. Well, this past Saturday night was a nerve-wracking, nail-biting game for me.

Goodnight, Sweet Prince--A 737-200 Takes its Final Journey

My very first airplane flight was on SWA as a kid in the mid-70's from DAL to SAT. Whenever I fly out now, I always enjoy seeing the old -200 sitting there. Glad I had a quick football trip last weekend and was able to see it one last time, although I didn't know it at the time.   Phew, That Was a Close One! Jodi And Christie Are Still in the Race

As the show was ending and it looked bleak for J/C, I do have to admit that I was thinking of how you would write about their exit. Happily, they live to fight another week! Good luck!!

As an avid Amazing Race viewer and fan, I knew that a non-eliminating leg was likely to come soon--I'm so glad it came when our Southwest Flight Attendants needed it most!  At the beginning of this week's episode, writer/director/actor, Mike, waxed prophetic when he referenced the Book of Matthew's "the first shall be last; and the last shall be first" passage. Jodi and Christie

SOMETHING WE REALLY WANT YOUR “FEED” BACK ON

It would all depend on how it's priced. Are we talking grocery store, 7-Eleven or inflated airport concessions levels? More than likely, I will continue to bring my own food and use my drink coupons. : )

Bloomberg news ran a story today headlined “Southwest Airlines may start selling food.”
