Bob Hurst Bob Hurst

Bob is a Sr. Analyst/Usability Specialist in Southwest Airlines’ Technology Department at the company’s Dallas Headquarters. He came to Southwest as a contract Technical Writer in 1995, and two years later became an Employee. Bob has had several different titles over the years, but has always been focused on helping people do their jobs better and more efficiently through technology. His hobbies include trivia, singing, golf, and, as you might guess, video editing.

Bob has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Henderson State College (now University) in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and a Master of Music Performance degree from North Texas State University (now UNT) in Denton, Texas. He played in the Dallas Jazz Orchestra from 1973 – 1987, and played in the Fort Worth Symphony, Dallas Ballet Orchestra, and various other freelance positions from 1972 through the early 90s. He even played on the music for a few Southwest Airlines commercials before coming to Southwest … back in the “early days.”
