During my FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) 1st class medical several months back, my doctor asked if I was participating in the Jacksonville Senior Games to be held the following week. As a runner, he felt I certainly would be competitive.

It’s right there in our Mission Statement: “The mission of Southwest Airlines is dedication to the highest quality of Customer Service delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride, and Company Spirit,” and let me tell you—we take that part about Company Spirit very seriously. In fact, we take it very literally.

Southwest Airlines said me and my cameraman Roy could go anywhere we wanted to in their expansive fly-zone. We choose Portland, Oregon! Here are some highlights from our fabulous trip!
