Did You know March is National Nutrition Month? Eating Healthy on the Go is a March series to help highlight healthy choices while you’re traveling, brought to you by a variety of our great Southwest Crew Members!
Eating lean, green, and clean is a goal of mine even while traveling for a living as a Flight Attendant for SWA! With a little hard work and planning ahead, it can definitely be achieved! One place, while on the road (or in the air, I should say) that I like to stop by is the restaurant Au Bon Pain. This café and eatery has a variety of healthy choices like Mediterranean chicken salad, black bean burgers, and Napa chicken avocado wraps, as well as oatmeal and yogurt. I really like their French Moroccan Tomato Lentil Soup which is Vegan, low fat, and gluten free.
In their cafés, you’ll find nutrition kiosks, which allow you to easily find the information you need, to make the smartest eating choices. They have removed all artificial trans fats from their menu and use all-natural chicken in all of their sandwiches, salads, and wraps. They also offer low sodium menus and vegetarian options.
