Reports indicate that the winglets of two Southwest
aircraft made contact with each other while leaving the DTW terminal
area from adjacent gates. Both aircraft returned to the gates. Initial
inspections indicate neither aircraft sustained
substantial damage, however each has been removed from service for
further inspection and appropriate repair. Southwest is accommodating
our customers on other flights out of Detroit.
