November was National Peanut Butter Month (if you didn’t know, now you do).
I LUV peanut butter. Peanut butter takes me back to my childhood, when my Mom, the best Mom in the world, would make us all peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. She would cut them in half, and usually one of my brothers would run by, grab a half, and eat it.
When the Broward Food Pantry, in Fort Lauderdale, told us about their collection for November, we were excited to jump in and help. We set up boxes in each Southwest & AirTran Department at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, and marked them “Show the LUV, bring in a TUB.”
Turns out, lots of people were willing to pitch in! We collected 75 tubs of peanut butter that we dropped off at our Broward Food Pantry. We were very proud to team up with the food pantry to help those in our Community!
