St. Paddy’s isn’t until March 17th, but Southwest’s Culture Committee (and Blog Team) are already conspiring to “Own the Holiday.” If you happen to be flying Southwest March 12th, be on the lookout for three very sprightly, very green, very enthusiastic leprechauns.

When LUV Comes to Town...MSP gets down!

 Well, the LUV officially came to town on a chilly Sunday morning at 7 am in Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP). That's right, the first flight out of our 65th destination city left on Sunday for Chicago's Midway Airport. How did the Southwest Employee volunteers get there in the first place?

On March 8, 2009 Southwest Airlines began service to Minneapolis/St. Paul, with 41 Employees and eight daily nonstop flights to Chicago Midway, with additional direct or connecting service to 57 destinations, including: San Francisco, Denver, and Philadelphia. Welcome to the Southwest Family, Minneapolis/St. Paul. LUV has come to town!

Southwest Airlines began service to Little Rock on February 27, 1984. Our 62 Little Rock-based Employees currently operate 13 daily departures to seven cities including Baltimore/Washington, Chicago Midway, Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby, Las Vegas , and St.

Big Heart, Little Rock

Sometimes, the littlest airports can have the biggest families. At least that's what I walked away with (well, flew) after spending the day at the Little Rock National Airport in (you guessed it) Little Rock, Arkansas. With only 62 Employees, I was able to meet just about everyone on a rainy, gloomy day in February. The occasion?
