The Adopt-A-Pilot program is for fifth-grade class rooms. It is where Southwest Airlines Pilots are "Adopted" and the Pilot teaches various aspects of being a pilot. This episode of Red Belly Radio cover the award presentation for the annual necktie design.

Adopt-A-Pilot "Tie-In"

Adopt-A-Pilot’s (AAP) 2009 collector’s edition tie  designed by Maddie Ramirez of Briarhill Middle School in Highland Village, Texas made its debut last week at a surprise ceremony honoring the young artist.  Maddie was one of more than 30,000 students who participated in the AAP program in 2008.
