Recently retired Maureen Harbauer with husband, Wolfgang at Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright in Pennsylvania.

Southwest Airlines has a remarkably low turnover rate – just around  four  percent, in fact.  Nevertheless, every once in a while I receive a “farewell” e-mail from a Fellow Employee who is either retiring, moving away, leaving the company to pursue an old dream or to take on a new adventure. 

This episode features a phone interview with Maureen Harbauer who was so nice and interesting to talk to. Maureen worked in the airline industry for about 40 years and has seen a once great airline wither and another flourish even after 9-11.  She kind of puts things into perspective, especially the cycles of business and career.
