Shelley Logan

Shelley is a Culture Activities Representative (a.k.a. “Culture Chick”) for Southwest Airlines in Dallas. She started with Southwest six years ago as a Recruiter for the Finance and Internal Audit Departments. After nearly two years of helping to hire the best folks in the business, she moved her cheese and became a Compensation Analyst. Three and a half years later, she finally found her true calling and joined Sunny’s Culture Activities Team. She is a living example of how Southwest gives Employees the Freedom to move about the Company and try their hand at various jobs! B.S. (Before Southwest), Shelley had a variety of jobs at several different companies in an assortment of industries (some more stable than others). After graduating from TCU with an English degree, she started her career at The Summit Publishing Group, a small book publishing company that specialized in adult non-fiction titles (Dallas Cowboys: The Authorized Pictorial History; Ross Perot: My Life & The Principles for Success; and On the Brink: The Life & Leadership of Norman Brinker, to name a few). She then moved to the staffing industry, where she learned the art of placing temporary employees on accounting and finance contract assignments. As if that job wasn’t entertaining enough, she spent the next six months in the dot.com world as an iAccount Executive for beenz.com. Ever heard of ‘em? On a personal note, Shelley is happily married to her husband of ten years, Jeff. They have two kids, Baxter (the beagle) and Flash (the basset hound). Shelley loves traveling; reading books; watching movies; hanging out with friends and family; playing board games; and she absolutely LUVs working for Southwest.
