My SWA career began in Dallas on the Central Support Desk (x3300). I was ecstatic to have been offered my first job at Southwest. I said goodbye to Milwaukee, packed my bags and moved down south! In one short year, I was offered a job in Chicago as a field tech. My former supervisors helped mold me into my new position. I LUV how Southwest helps people find their niche. Chicago is like a very big Milwaukee so I definitely feel like I am at home. I love what I do. I help support our Technology equipment and systems in a number of stations close to MDW. Every day is different and the variety excites me. Often, I will wake up thinking that my day will be spent at MDW but then fly off to Nashville or another city fixing a kiosk or two. Happy kiosks mean happy customers and employees! Being involved in AirTran integration projects is pretty fun as well! Not going to lie, I am a huge airline nerd. I have been around airlines since I was two years old. My dad was a pilot for Midwest Express Airlines so I was exposed to the industry at a pretty young age. Once it's in your blood it's there forever. My career in the industry started at Midwest in 2005.

Your Favorite Southwest Story
I was flying back home to Milwaukee from Dallas a few days after I started working at Southwest. Being that this was my first Southwest flight as an employee, I really wanted to help pass out peanuts. As I was handing them out, one of the Flight Attendants made an announcement to everyone that I just got hired. Everyone clapped. That's just one of many great stories!
