Mike Frier

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, where I still reside. Originally planning a career in journalism, I worked as a Producer for my college television station’s newscast and for a brief while after college at a station in Tampa. I was lucky enough to catch the flying bug during an introductory flight at a local airport and soon after completed my commercial and instrument ratings. After years of flying around Florida and the Bahamas, as well as several other flying jobs, I landed a dream job flying for Southwest Airlines in 2008.

Herb was in true form that day and kept us in stitches as he explained to us how to have successful careers at Southwest. I wish I could tell you more, but I’m sure that Herb would agree our conversation was proprietary information!
