Mike Barnbaum
Sacramento, California | Member Since 2011
I was born and raised in California's San Fernando Valley. I moved to Sacramento in August of 1995 when I started my first semester of school at Sacramento State. I am employed by PRIDE Industries where I am a Mobility And Production (MAP) Trainer. I have been with PRIDE Industries since July of 2000. I have been an Amtrak Volunteer Station Host since 2010 where I am able to "Show The Spirit" in my community. As long as I volunteer 100 or more hours per calendar year, I am eligible for one free roundtrip ticket within the State of California that Amtrak travels to. I also volunteer in 2011-2012 for Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson as a member of "Think BIG Sacramento." This is a coalition of 72 business, labor, and elected officials throughout the Six-County Sacramento Region that is dedicated to assist in the financing of a new entertainment sports complex for the greater Sacramento area to be located in the Downtown Sacramento Railyards. If constructed and completed, it would become the home of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association and the premiere home for great entertainment like concerts and shows for the Sacramento Region and Northern California. I welcome everyone to Sacramento International Airport where you will find Southwest at the New Terminal B starting on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Welcome to Sacramento International Airport the Gateway to the Sacramento Region and Northern California.

Favorite Southwest Moment
My favorite Southwest moment came on May 24, 2011 when I was, for the first time, able to book a roundtrip ticket to Newark, New Jersey. It relieved me for good of ever flying another airline into Newark, New Jersey to visit my family on the East Coast. There is nothing mor annoying than having to pay fees to check your bags, change your itinerary, or pay for on board services like snack packs when you fly. Having Southwest available for me to Newark is a welcome addition.
